Best 5 Easy Ways You Can Turn WHAT'S IN STORE AT AWS RE: INVENT 2018 Into Success
The AWS annual re-invent conference is coming up and begins Nov. 26 in Las Vegas. Make sure there are lots of products related to AWS, partners and customer news, not to mention more than a few parts and possibilities for networking with other conference attendees. Here are some helpful tips and topics we hope to hear about this year.
1. Business Security - Always a hot topic.
As corporate cloud adoption continues to grow at a steady pace, the need for strong governance and security offerings increases. This year, we have seen many new AWS releases and improvements to strengthen your security offerings. Amazon Guard Duty was released on re: Invent 2017, so we can see some new features announced, such as better integration with other new or existing AWS services.
The GRC is no longer just for your old data center. Governance, risk and compliance are vital to the long-term success of its adoption in the cloud. With the initial launch of the AWS Financial Services Compliance Center in early September, we also anticipate some updates.
The dynamic nature of the cloud continues to create specific security challenges. A major challenge is the increased safety and visibility of ephemeral resources, such as containers and especially AWS Lambda. We would be extremely surprised if we did not see some more ads in this area.
2. Will CEO Andy Jassy finally provide me with the VPC traffic service I dreamed about?
For many years we had the architectural challenge of the transitive routing AWS, and for many years I attended the re: Invent the main note with admiration by Andy Jassy and Werner Vogels, turning off the last word when he masterfully unleashes new product launches as a kind of magic show, many of us hope to one day announce that they will meet this transitive routing challenge with a native AWS cloud service. But unfortunately, every year has been like opening all your Christmas presents just to find what you really hoped you did not find. Is this finally the year? Will Santa Jassy bring us the easy button for transitive routing? With extensive recent releases and lots around VPC Transit through CFT in combination with Lambda activity, tags and Cisco CSR, it seems like they are almost. Surely they will not let another year pass. My bet is that this is the year we see this come true. I will receive my most coveted gift this year. I'll get my Atari 2600, my Optimus Prime, my AT-AT Walker. I'll bet! Well, at least I hope so. AWS TRAINING IN BANGALORE
3. General postings - 'nuff said!
Amazon Data Lifecycle Manager was released in July this year and is an easy way to schedule and manage backups EBS volumes without relying on a third-party tool. We expect to see the expansion in more regions and expect more granular snapshot sync options. Currently, it only allows scheduled backups to run every 12 to 24 hours.
As has become the norm, we anticipate that new instance types and / or families will be announced. Last year, we saw the instance types M5 and H1, as well as the instances of Bare Metal (preview) introduced. According to an article by Jeff Barr earlier this year, Bare Metal Instances with 6 TB 9 TB, 12 TB and more are in the process memory, all designed specifically for SAP HANA and other memory workloads. We would not be surprised to see some kind of approach around that.
4. Celebrations, let's make this place more rock!
2nd Watch will join Palo Alto Networks this year to host their annual Nightclub Omnia party at Caesars Palace. There will be good food, an open bar, an incredible DJ and, of course, friends from previous years. Every year is a party completely exhausted, so if he is not on the guest list, request your invitation We love to connect with you and it is a party you will not want to miss.
Following a long tradition, the AWS Play Party will be out of jail and will likely cause some difficult flights home the next day. Last year, DJ Snake spent the night while the participants jumped into mega castles, played games and enjoyed the open bar. Amazon Web Services always takes all the stops and we hope that this year they will continue to raise the level. AWS TRAINING IN BANGALORE

Finally, we want to offer you information that we believe will be beneficial to maximize your time in re: Invent. Here are some tips and tricks we've learned over the last 6 years (Wow! Has it been that long?) Avoid breaking sessions unless there is a very short or no line. Many people waited up to 2 hours for an intermission session without a commitment to be rejected at the door due to a full house. Do not have fear, friends! All sessions are recorded and published online, so if you can not do one of them, enjoy the lunch time to catch up when you get home. Enroll in Hackathons, JAMs, Security Labs, Workshops, and The CHalk Speaks Instead of Breakout Sessions. These are usually a good investment of your time: invent the time when you can interact and learn a lot. Often, they are not recorded or shared online, so taking them personally is a great opportunity that is not available after the reboot. Avoid relying on the shuttle service if you have limited time between events in different hotels. Instead, consider using the monorail system.
This seems to be the fastest and most consistent way to move. However, plan ahead to know where the tickets are, as you may not have the time to do so while competing from event to event. In closing We are sure that there will be many new acronyms to learn after this year and many new services to filter. One thing we know for sure is that once the RE: Invent reboot is complete, the second watch will be ready and by your side to help you consume and adopt the best solutions for your trip to the cloud. This year we are giving Amazon DeepLens cameras, and we are very excited to see it. We also invite you to join us in our main session, "Proven Methodologies to Accelerate Your Journey to the Cloud." Here you will learn how to accelerate your journey. to the cloud by implementing a cloud strategy without sacrificing the controls and standards required in a large public company. Enjoy the ideas developed working with some of the most recognized brands in the world. Find out how the names of these families leverage automation, CI / CD, and a modular approach to workload design to ensure consistent application of your security and governance requirements.
